Light the Night Bike Ride at Stoney's Bar and Grille (Tuesday, free) Join your fellow night riders on this after-dark bike ride, which kicks off at Stoney's. Glow sticks will be provided and the ride is an easy and enjoyable on: From the Lincoln Street start, the route will wander around Capitol Hill, eventually ending at Govnr's Park, where a raffle will be held with some cool prizes. The best part? Proceeds from the raffle go to First Descents, an outdoor sports-oriented non-profit supporting young adults who are fighting and surviving cancer.Sunday School for Atheists at the McNichols Building (Thursday, free) Put on by Warm Cookies of the Revolution -- a local group that brings the community together to talk about issues in a fun and welcoming environment -- tonight's gathering focuses on "Thou shalt not kill." The discussion will be moderated by Army combat veteran Garett Reppenhagen; the evening also includes a musical performance by Jacob George, another Army vet. Micah White's The Future of Protest at RMCAD (Thursday, free) A former editor of Adbusters magazine and co-creator of the ubiquitous term/meme "Occupy Wall Street," Micah White is the latest participant in the Visiting Artist, Scholar and Designer Program at RMCAD. He will be discussing the Occupy Wall Street movement from a critical perspective, as well as speaking on the role of artists in contemporary civil discourse. This event is free, but an RSVP is recommended, since seating is limited.
