CBD-infused frozen dessert company RoseBud Ice Cream is launching a month-long sock drive on Monday, June 1, to benefit Denver Homeless Out Loud, an organization that advocates for the city's homeless population. Drop off footwear at Homeless Out Loud's office, 2260 California Street, or — if you want to get your ice cream fix in at the same time, you can shop and donate socks at 12th Avenue Market (2620 East 12th Avenue); Curtis Park Deli (2532 Champa Street); Wheat Ridge Poultry and Meats (5650 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge); and General Store 45 (2479 West Main Street, Littleton). In addition, Rosebud will also donate a pair of socks for every branded apparel item purchased on its website.
Tuesday, June 2 For the latest in its Instagram Live mixology series, Sage Restaurant Concepts (which owns Poka Lola Social Club, Kachina, Urban Farmer, the Cruise Room and the Corner Office) is tapping Urban Farmer's talent to craft cocktails with St. Germain. The restaurant's manager and head bartender will show up on Sage's Instagram page, (@sagerestaurantconcepts) at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, to show you how to utilize the elderflower liqueur in your summer drinks.
Wednesday, June 3
Starting Wednesday, June 3, Denver-based Good Food 100 Restaurants, an industry survey that strives to document business and purchasing practices in the hospitality field, is launching Save Good Food, a series of weekly virtual dinner-table discussions about food and the supply chain. At 6 p.m., tune in to hear local and national fine-dining restaurateurs, farmers and distributors discuss the realities and future of finding good food. The first episode ("Save Good Meat") includes chefs Paul C. Reilly (Beast + Bottle, Coperta) and Rick Bayless (Frontera Grill), hog and poultry farmer Greg Gunthorp, Chris Oliviero from Niman Ranch and market owner Pete Marczyk. Future installments — the series runs through June 30 — feature Denver chefs Alex Seidel, Jen Jasinski, Kelly Whitaker and Caroline Glover; visit the organization's website.

Friday, June 5 Fledgling bakery Berkeley Donuts (located inside Hops & Pie, at 3920 Tennyson Street), which opened at the end of February, isn't slacking off — not during a pandemic and certainly not on Friday, June 5, which, in addition to being the end of another long and painful week, happens to be National Doughnut Day. Show up early (doors open at 7:30 a.m.) for a great deal: three doughnuts and two beers for just $16. In a town where it's all too easy to spend a Jackson on two drinks alone, that's a bargain worth being the first in line for.
