Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, a Denver-based fast-casual concept, will open its eighteenth location -- the sixteenth in Colorado -- today at 14740 West Colfax Avenue, in the new Denver West project. To celebrate, the restaurant will be giving away prizes and menu items all month long -- check the Facebook page to learn more.

And that's just the first of many restaurants that will be rolling out here.

The development is also slated to get a Modmarket, a Bonefish Grill, a Carrabba's Italian Grill and a Five Guys Burgers & Fries, as well as Cafe Rio Mexican Grill and Cherry on Top Frozen Yogurt.

Jimmy John's and Chick-fil-A are set to open spots there as well.

And Panera Bread will open in the development at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12; the first 1,000 customers inside the cafe will receive a free Cinnamon Crunch Bagel and a free Panera Bread Coffee Tumbler with free refills through December 31; the first 500 customers in the drive-thru will also receive a free Cinnamon Crunch Bagel.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
