We're finally seeing signs that the ski season may yet be salvaged. While we haven't had an epic dump yet, the steady snowfall of the last few days had me enjoying multiple powder runs off Chair 9 at Loveland on Monday. Now there's more good news: Arapahoe Basin will be opening Montezuma Bowl on Wednesday.
Zuma Bowl, as it's affectionately referred to, nearly doubled A Basin's terrain when it opened in 2008. The bowl has 400 acres of terrain. Not all of it will open on Wednesday, but 17 trails and 200 acres of skiing will certainly spread skiers out around the mountain, and Zuma bowl, when the snow is good, is awesome, offering everything from steep chutes to beautiful glades.
Zuma will be open for riding at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Snow, keep coming!
