Glazed and Confuzed about to get rolling again -- after a flood closed the new spot for weeks
Glazed and Confuzed, almost ready for action...again.
After months of delays, the owners of Glazed and Confuzed, the popular mobile doughnut purveyor, finally opened the doors of their first brick-and-mortar location on Friday the 13th of June. But the real bad luck lay ahead: On June 19, after a much-needed day off, they showed up at the shop at 5301 Leetsdale "only to find our entire kitchen is flooded," they reported on Facebook.
Initially, they thought they'd be open again within a week. But nothing has gone according to plan with this project. Fortunately, they were able to continue rolling out doughnuts at local farmers' markets and the coffeehouses that regularly stock Glazed and Confuzed confections.
Now the word finally comes that after four weeks of repair work, waiting and inspections, Glazed and Confuzed will definitely "re-re-re-re-open" on Friday, July 18 -- and will be handing out free mini PuffyNutz while supplies last, one to a customer.
