Some of Denver's favorite restaurants are hosting special events tonight, featuring everything from rum to Wynkoop beer to five of the town's best chefs.

First up: The Five -- Troy Guard of TAG, Jamey Fader of Lola, Matt Selby of Steuben's and Vesta, Brian Laird of Barolo and Tyler Wiard of Elway's in Cherry Creek -- will be cooking up a storm at a patio partio at Elway's in Cherry Creek. The party starts at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $50; for reservations, call 303-399-7616

Wynkoop Brewing Company, 1634 18th Street, is celebrating April Fools' Day a little late this year at its $40 Spring Beer Dinner, starting at 6:30 p.m. Get in the silly spirit with some unusual cuisine, including panzanella salad with beer-bread croutons, lamb-and-risotto meatballs and a chili-beer granita in a burnt-orange sugar cup. Make your reservations at 303-297-9999.

Firenze a Tavola, the downstairs area at Parisi, 4401 Tennyson Street, is also presenting a multi-course meal at its monthly Community Table, which starts at 7 p.m.; this round is inspired by springtime and Grandma's home cooking. A seat costs $30; call 303-561-0234 or visit www.parisidenver.com.

And 8 Rivers, at 1550 Blake Street, will host a Rum Lover's Seminar from 6 to 8 p.m.; call 303-623-3422.
