The Thirteen Best Restaurant Deals in Denver Right Now

The price of, well, everything seems to be going up — including meals at your favorite restaurants. Long gone are the days of an easy-to-find $10 lunch. Places just can't survive on a price point like that while the cost of ingredients, supplies and labor keep increasing.

But that doesn't mean you can't find some killer deals on some of the best food in town. Often restaurants will offer an incentive for you to come in on typically slower days, which means you can satisfy your craving for a night out without it hitting your wallet too hard. Others offer deals at certain times of the day.

Here are some of our favorite must-try food specials in the metro area:

Adobo

Filipino-Mexican eatery Adobo has several weekday specials to keep you fed on a budget. Get $2 to $3 tacos on Tuesdays, 75-cent wings on Wednesdays, and buy one, get one free rice bowls on Thursdays. All deals apply from 4 to 7 p.m. at its West Highland brick-and-mortar. Soon, the same will be offered from the Adobo food truck, which is now permanently parked in Wheat Ridge at owner Blaine Baggao’s new project, MoonRise Garden Bar & Food Trucks.

This longstanding go-to for oysters and pizza is a pro at offering a tempting deal. Along with taking advantage of the loaded happy-hour menu available from 3 to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close daily (complete with $1 raw oysters, $2 chargrilled oysters, $6 eight-inch, one topping pizzas and more), we love to hit up this spot for Mollusk Mondays. All day on Monday, get a big bowl of mussels with bread for dunking for $7, or clams and linguine with a soup or salad for $17 if you need something a little more substantial.

Chef Caroline Glover's Stanley Marketplace eatery Annette offers all-night happy hour on Tuesdays as well as from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. The lineup includes a must-try that's not on the regular menu: steak frites with grilled onion butter and greens dressed with a pickled shallot vinaigrette for just $26. Add some of the house popcorn ($4) for snacking to start and a $10 classic cocktail, and you've got an indulgent night out without the hefty price tag. 
Blackbird Public House

A dozen oysters can set you back well over $30 at most places in town these days, but Blackbird's got them for just $1.50 a pop (with a minimum order of six), all day on Tuesdays and during happy hour, which is all day on Mondays and from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Other happy-hour food bites include an eight-inch, one topping pizza for $7 and a $12 meat-and-cheese board.
The Castle Bar & Grill

Grab a seat at the sunken, horseshoe-shaped bar at this Littleton watering hole and sink your teeth into a duo of specials. On Tuesdays, the burgers — one of our picks for the ten best in town — are buy one, get one half off. Sure, it used to be a straight up BOGO offer (pre-pandemic), but whether you choose to build your own or go with one of the many set options on the menu, it's still a hell of a deal. Then head back on Thursdays for 75-cent wings and a cold beer.

Chef Lon Symensma’s Asian fusion concept ChoLon is beloved for its dumplings — namely, for the French onion soup variety — and on Tuesdays, its Central Park location offers $30 bottomless soup dumplings from 6 to 8 p.m. Additionally, on Wednesdays after 5 p.m., it dishes up a box and bottle special, also $30 per person, that includes a bento box for two plus your choice of a sake carafe or a bottle of wine.
GB Fish & Chips
Four metro locations
With locations in Park Hill, Overland, Sloan's Lake and Arvada, there's a good chance you've got a GB's nearby. This no-frills spot for fish and chips offers a lot of specials, including free kids' meals on Sundays and $2 off all booze during happy hour, which is available every day from 2 to 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. to close. Our favorite day of the week to hit up a GB's is Tilapia Tuesday, when a hefty piece of the battered and fried flaky white fish is only $1.50. Order a couple, add a side of fries for $3.25 and let the malt vinegar flow.

The Greenwich

New York City-inspired eatery the Greenwich dishes out Denver’s best pizza in a non-pizzeria, and every day of the week, visitors can snag a grandma slice from its bar for just $7. Savor a buttery blend of smoked mozzarella, ricotta, pecorino and Gouda, all layered on a housemade sourdough crust and served with a side of hot sauce. Stop in during happy hour, available Monday through Friday from 5 to 6 p.m., to pair your pizza with $8 cocktails and wine or $4 craft beers.
Hops & Pie

This spot specializes in a classic combo that's hard to beat: pizza and beer. In late 2022, it switched to sourdough for the crust for its pies, which are available in New York style, a thicker, pillowy Sicilian pie or square-cut Detroit style. On Thursdays, you can get a cheese Detroit-style pie for just $7, which leaves plenty in the budget for a couple of pints alongside — and Hops & Pie has one of the best tap lists in the city.
La Diabla Pozole y Mezcal

This award-winning restaurant from chef Jose Avila offers two-for-one bowls of its pozole all day on Thursdays — opt for verde, blanco, rojo, negro pozole served with chicken or cabeza de cerdo (meat from a pig's head), or a vegan version. La Diabla has a host of other daily specials as well, including the Wednesday Jose's Gone Fishing deal, which includes two al pastor tacos and a margarita for only $5. 
Odyssey Italian Restaurant

This restaurant set in a Victorian house, with its friendly service and charming atmosphere, is one of the best places to go for a date night. It's also home to an insanely good deal on a pasta dinner. On Monday nights, you can order any option off the pasta menu for just $11.95 (normally $20); it comes with a Caesar salad and garlic bread. With a price that low, you may as well throw in a bottle of wine, too.

Rooted Craft American Kitchen

Bring a plus-one to Friend Friday at Rooted Craft American Kitchen. Available at its West Highland location from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the end-of-week lunch special includes an appetizer and two sandwiches for only $35, and some of our favorite options are the wood-grilled oysters, its classic French dip and the hot honey chicken on toasted brioche.

Hit up this cozy Congress Park staple for a happy hour loaded with $8.95 food specials that are more than snacks — they easily fill you up for a whole meal. Available from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, options include a lineup of flatbreads with toppings like Boar's Head pepperoni or wild mushrooms with spinach. There are also five mini (though still substantial) small plates: grilled salmon with whipped potatoes and broccolini; Bolognese; chicken parm; capellini D'Angelo with broccolini, and a chef's choice feature.
