Stoners with a sense of style can now get fashionably lit thanks to the recent partnership between the Cannabist Company and Flower by Edie Parker. The joint effort (all puns intended) introduces Seedies, Flower by Edie Parker’s first edibles collection, to Colorado's struggling cannabis market.
The THC gummies come in three flavors: peach-raspberry, watermelon-lime and blackberry-lemon, available at Medicine Man and the Green Solution dispensaries throughout Colorado. The collection debuted in Colorado and Virginia dispensaries in December, with additional markets to come.
Founded by entrepreneur Brett Heyman in 2010, Edie Parker made a name in the fashion game with luxury acrylic handbags that became red-carpet staples for celebrities like Millie Bobby Brown, Lisa Rinna and Mindy Kaling. In 2019, the brand pivoted to cannabis, launching Flower by Edie Parker to cater to sophisticated stoners.
Flower by Edie’s cannabis collection, affectionately dubbed The Garden of Edie, also includes cannabis flower, disposable vapes and THC vape cartridges, which are available in indica, hybrid and sativa options. Meanwhile, the original Edie Parker brand complements these dispensary offerings with a line of fashionable smoke accessories, including novelty tabletop lighters, chic pipes and decorative rolling papers.
After all, who says getting high can’t be high fashion?
“This partnership is all about taking lifestyle branding in cannabis to the next level, blending culture, fashion and cannabis in a way that feels fresh and exciting," says Catie Dunn, the Cannabist's director of commercial partnerships.
Today, Flower by Edie is carried in 800 dispensaries across eleven states, including 22 in Colorado. According to the Cannabist, the decision to launch Seedies in Colorado and Virginia first was strategic.
“Colorado and Virginia were clear standouts for this launch, each for different reasons. In Colorado, the well-established regulations and consumer enthusiasm for lifestyle-focused cannabis brands make it a great match for Flower by Edie Parker’s mission to blend cannabis with fashion and culture," Dunn says. "Virginia, meanwhile, is an emerging market with so much excitement around premium, innovative products, making it the perfect place to introduce something fresh and new."
While Seedies are currently only available in Colorado and Virginia, they're set to be available in New York before the end of the month, and in additional markets within the first quarter of next year.
The Cannabist (formerly Columbia Care) first announced its partnership with Flower by Edie in April 2024.
