Movie Night in Mirus: Black Swan
Monday, February 11, 7 p.m.
Temple Nightclub
One of cinema's most unflinching gazes into the darker side of the artistic process, Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan captures the manic highs and self-injurious lows of creative obsession. Starring Natalie Portman, who won an Academy Award for her portrayal of a ballet prodigy descending into madness, the film is a fitting selection for the launch of the Movie Night in Mirus screening series, which unspools for the first time tonight at Temple Nightclub. Visit Mirus Gallery's Universe events page to register for free and find out more.

Ice Cold Comedy
Tuesday, February 12, 8 p.m.
Chillers Bar & Grill, Loveland

Venture to the Land of Love for another frosty yet fiery round of jokes when Ice Cold Comedy returns to Chillers Bar & Grill with a fresh lineup of Colorado's finest and funniest. For this month's outing, host and Loveland comedy impresario Jeff Albright welcomes Cody Cardinal, Doug Ware, Ricky Ramos, Jo Kimbrell and headliner Nathan Lund to entertain a loyal crowd of Tuesday night drinkers. Galentine’s Day Pop Up Bazaar
Wednesday, February 13, 6 p.m.
Fort Greene

Thanks to the misunderstood legacy of the de-canonized Saint Valentine, February 14 will forever be known as a day for lovers. Galentine’s Day, however, can trace its origins to the delightful and historically verifiable source of Parks and Recreation, whose characters dedicate the pre-holiday evening to celebrations of friendship and feminist empowerment. Treat yourself to a gauntlet of homemade goods at the Galentine’s Day Pop Up Bazaar, a crafty and quirky gathering of all female-identified merchants. Hosted by the Lady Killas of Denver, the evening's festivities also include a thematically linked cocktail list. Head over to the Lady Killas Facebook events page for further details.
