Punk Rock Karaoke at El Charrito (Tuesday, free) El Charrito is one of the few dive bars left downtown, and to keep things good and seedy, it offers a night filled with punk rock karaoke, featuring a live band. Rock star dreams can come true tonight, whether you're screaming Dead Kennedys or crying The Cure. See the set list here.

3 Course Comedy: Resolution Foods at Deer Pile (Wednesday, free) The way to most people's hearts is through their stomachs, so sit back and let these cooking comedians whip up some tasty treats. Cody Spyker is bringing the appetizers, Bobby Crane has you covered with the main course, and save some room for dessert from Kristin Rand. They'll tickle your funny bone and fill your belly -- all for free.

Movie Night at Glob (Thursday, free) Sometimes people have ideas so crazy, there's no place for them to express these thoughts. That's when you just have to take matters into your own hands, as the folks did at Glob, a creative space where creative people can do creative things. Tonight, see what happens when forward thinkers like Kim Shively and William Morris get their hands on a video camera and create a mix of experimental and short films. The event is strictly BYOLC -- bring your own lawn chair.
