The roster of notable people who were either born in Colorado or lived here for a time is huge -- and included among them are plenty of female entertainers from the past and present. But which of them will stand the test of time? And which will fade, if they haven't already started to do so? Look below to check out our top ten, which ranges from already stale reality stars to actresses likely to appear on stages and screens for many years to come. Jessica Biel: Raised in Boulder, Biel continues to be more highly regarded for her looks than her acting ability; she was a multiple Razzie winner for the Adam Sandler abomination I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. But she's still getting work in high-profile projects like the current flick Hitchcock (she plays Vera Miles). And if the acting gigs dry up, there's always the consolation of being married to Justin Timberlake, with whom she exchanged rings in October. Pam Grier: Grier was born in North Carolina, but spent her formative years in Denver, where she attended East High School and Metro State. She's since lived in our fair state in between acting gigs, including this year's RZA-helmed Man With the Iron Fists. These days, she's probably best known for the Quentin Tarantino opus Jackie Brown. But if you haven't seen it, check out 1973's blaxploitation landmark Coffy. You'll be glad you did. Amy Adams: Adams was born in Italy; her father was a serviceman stationed overseas at the time she made her debut. But she was mainly raised in Castle Rock before branching out into a terrific Hollywood career marked by flicks as varied as Talledega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby and The Master. Coming up next year: She's set to play Lois Lane in the latest Superman reboot, Man of Steel. Kristin Cavallari: Born in Denver, Cavallari subsequently relocated to Illinois and then, more notably, Laguna Beach -- the town for which her first MTV reality show was named. More fame accrued after she made a leap to The Hills, a program that could hardly be more last-decade at this point. More recently, she's appeared on shows such as Dancing With the Stars (she was eliminated in week three of a 2011 season) and Cupcake Wars. But she remains a tabloid staple due to her relationship with another past Coloradan: Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Culter. Sheryl Lee: Although she breathed her first in West Germany, Lee and family later moved to Boulder, where she graduated from Fairview High a few years before becoming a national pop-culture figure as the doomed Laura Palmer in David Lynch's influential TV series Twin Peaks. Since then, she's had only a handful of memorable roles, but her work as Palmer continues to live on despite the fact that her character's initial appearance was as a cadaver. Sherry Stringfield: A Colorado Springs native, Stringfield burst to fame as part of the ensemble TV series ER -- an enormous hit that launched George Clooney to mega-stardom. Don't know if Stringfield expected something similar when she jumped ship after five years on the show, but it didn't happen for her. Them's the breaks, and sometimes the breaks suck. AnnaSophia Robb: A Denverite by birth, Robb attended Arapahoe High School in Centennial -- a very public facility given the fame she attained as a teenager via prominent roles in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Because of Winn-Dixie and more. If you figured she'd vanish from the entertainment firmament like so many child stars before her, reserve judgement: Next year, she's set to star in The Carrie Diaries as the younger version of a certain Sarah Jessica Parker character. Cassandra "Elvira" Peterson: Peterson moved from her Kansas hometown to Colorado Springs, reportedly because of a flood. Her career remained fairly soggy when, in the early '80s, she conceived Elvira, a late-night movie hostess/Gothic caricature that she imbued with just the right blend of come-hither sexiness and eye-rolling satire. It's an image that's served her well over the decades since. Continue for more of our ten Colorado-connected hotties, ingenues and reality-TV stars list. Lyssa Rae Chapman: The tenth child of Beth and Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman, the Denver-born "Baby Lyssa" literally grew up on television as a featured player in her folks' reality show. That program got the sack within the past year -- so what's next? According to our friends at Wikipedia, an autobiography entitled Walking on Eggshells: The Lyssa Chapman Story. Tread lightly. Heidi Montag: The second alum of The Hills on this list, Montag, who was born in Crested Butte, is easily the most terrifying of the two owing to an unwise amount of plastic surgery. She and her off-putting mate, Spencer Pratt, are supposedly planning a new reality series for 2013. Consider yourself warned.
