Valentines go 3D -- with an added Latin inspiration -- when the Chicano Humanities and Arts Council hosts its annual
CHAC's put out the call for creative folks to drop by the gallery, 772 Santa Fe Drive, during regular business hours and pick up a pre-made, blank wooden heart to decorate as a silent auction donation for the main event; the fee is just $2. What you do with it once it's in your hot little hands is completely up to you. The only rule is that you return it, fully decorated in the medium of your choice, between noon and 4 p.m. on February 7.
Get your own corazon and pump it up: Admission to the upcoming party and auction is $7 (or $12 per lovin' couple), but if you donate a heart, you'll receive a free ticket just for your time and trouble. Get more information visit www.chacweb.org or call 303-571-0440.
