Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.
Brava! Pizzeria Della Strada will be firing up its wood-fueled pizza wagon at Dish, Westword's eighteenth annual food event set for next Thursday evening, September 6, in the Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex.
Here's what to expect from our 2011 Best Specialty Pizza winner:
Owners: David Bravdica and Thomas Garnick
Chef: David Bravdica
What will you be serving at Dish? Three dishes. A Margherita with crushed San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and organic basil; the "pig and fig" -- a white pizza topped with hot coppa, fresh mozzarella, Gorgonzola blue cheese and figs; and Porchetta sliders: oven roasted pork shoulder, pesto and arugula on a brioche bun.
What's your favorite dish on your menu? Depends on my mood...all of it!
Find all the details on Dish, including how to get tickets, here.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
