Alleged drunk driver runs down pedestrian overnight at Havana and Exposition

The memorial sign dedication ceremony honoring Ah Zet Khan and Za May Khan, two children killed near 14th and Yosemite in a still unsolved March hit and run, is emblematic of numerous disturbing car-pedestrian incidents that have taken place on metro-area roadways of late. More details come courtesy of 7News, which reports that the victim had just dismounted from a bus at around 3 a.m. and was heading across the street in the middle of the block along with several other departing passengers when he was hit. He was transported to an area hospital but couldn't be revived.

Neither the victim nor the driver under arrest has been identified at this early stage of the investigation.
