Exercise may be the last thing on your mind as you look up recipes and write shopping lists longer than your last relationship -- but what if we told you there was beer involved?

Running for Brews is a social running club for enthusiasts of both aerobics and ales. The runners meet at Walnut Brewery at 6:15 p.m. and then proceed to run a breathtaking 5k route around the Boulder foothills. After that, they enjoy craft beers, good food and great company with all running mates back at the rendezvous point. All runners and walkers are welcome but must sign a liability waiver, found here, in order to participate. For more information, check out the official Running for Brews website.

The Fox & Hound tavern will celebrate the renovations at its Park Meadows location at a benefit for the Zane Beadle's Parade Foundation. Beginning at 6 p.m. tonight, the kick-off party will feature a buffet of new menu items and specialty drinks. Tickets are $10 each, which include two drink tickets per person; all proceeds will benefit the foundation created by Zane Beadle, #68 of the Denver Broncos, to enrich the lives of terminally ill children by providing them with experiences they would not normally have the opportunity to enjoy. The foundation also works with Brent's Place, a safe home that caters to pediatric cancer patients with compromised immune systems and their families.
