India Express Restaurant, 727 Colorado Boulevard, has frequently given back to the community by offering gift certificates for silent auctions -- and even catering a school event at a very discounted price -- but co-owner Akeel Masih says they wanted to try something different today. "We have a few guests who are regulars," he says, "and they informed us about this type of fundraiser. This is something new that we'd like to try -- any way we can help out."
So what, exactly, is the restaurant doing?
Enjoy the India Express lunch buffet today, or head there for dinner tonight, and when you mention Park Hill School, 15 percent of your bill will be donated to the school.
And this project is something the restaurant would be willing to repeat: "Any school that approaches us and asks us to do something like that, or if they're doing some kind of program, we are happy to help," Masih says. Call 303-331-8220 for information, and visit http://indiaexpress.us for a full dinner menu.
