Like the perfect blend of everything that terrifies parents about teenage internet culture, Brokencyde (playing tonight at the Marquis Theater with Vampires Everywhere, It Boys and Dot Dot) has successfully crafted a niche for its dirty screamo raps that has, so far, gone untouched by any other band.

Going its own way since 2006, the Albuquerque-based quartet was a D.I.Y. start-up between friends, self-releasing several albums before being picked up by its label, BreakSilence. The crunkcore act's music has long been a whipping boy for critics, but the group's rabid fan base -- who mimics Brokencyde's neon and hair spray aesthetic at shows -- says otherwise. This show is all ages, and tickets are $15. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m.
