It's hard to believe that we're already halfway through August -- so do what we're doing this weekend and don't think about it. Instead, hit the dance floor. If you're not heading to Red Rocks for Pretty Lights' sold-out, two-night run, there's plenty of options for you back here in town, with Konrad Black, Santé and a ton more filling up this weekend's Dance Card. The versatile and illustrious Konrad Black is heating up NORAD tonight along with the Real Wolf, Computer Tutor and Doc Noe; he's dabbled in drum-and-bass but is best known for work done with the techno/house label he helped launch, Wagon Repair. (9 p.m., 21+, $5 and up)
If you don't know Santé by name, then you're clearly not the type to pay attention to who's producing the tracks you get down to every weekend; the tech-house master will be playing in Beta's Beatport Lounge tonight with Angel Castro vs. Diizel. (9 p.m., 21+, $5-$15)
Ed Rush and Optical are also at Beta tonight, along with Denver's drum and bass guru Fury, and Sub.mission resident Dayquill for a night that's sure to get those hips primed for the weekend. Tickets will cost you $10, give or take the $2 for online service fees. Don't wait until the night of the show, though, that's just a waste of valuable water money.
The now weekly Libation at the Hive brings BetatraXx all the way from Los Angeles for this Friday night shindig. You'll catch the sounds of Lexi Fey and Lee Harris prior, but by no means does that mean you should show up late. Libation is promising to bring the best dance acts, and they are churning out a good night so far. Cover is $5 if you show up before 10 p.m. If you show up before 11 p.m., it's $10, and if you show up after that, it's $15.
Things have been quiet on the Lumonics front lately, but the venue's making up for that tonight with dark techno, industrial and psytrance by Katastrophy, Gustavo, Ahwoo, Narcotek, Dave Vendetta, Logos, Mudwulf, Acidwave23 and Sweep. (7:30 p.m., 18+, $10)

MONO>STEREO's summer edition takes over NORAD on Saturday night; Hipp-E and Greg Eversoul will heat things up with support from special guest Nutmeg. It's bound to be a night worthy of the international-level talent right here in our hometown. (10 p.m., 21+)
Jantsen will be holding things down at Club Vinyl, along with support from CRNKN, Frequent-C and Shank Aaron. You probably know Jantsen from his local fame, but his international renown came from teaming up with Bassnectar on a track titled "Red Step" off the Divergent Spectrum album. Vinyl gets the taste of bass this weekend, and you should too with $5 pre-show tickets.
Beta has quite the lineup for the weekend with things staying groovy into Saturday night with Steve Smooth. Cognition and T-Rav, two rising local names are going to get some support from Beta jack-of-all-trades Tommy Michael. Tickets will run you $10, plus a pesky $2 service charge online, but that's still cheaper than day-of ticket prices.
Computer Tutor is popping up again this weekend at the Blend with Sami T; the Meadowlark is where it's going down on Saturday, so be there or be square. (9 p.m., 21+, $5)
NORAD is keeping things hopeful on Sunday with Sunday's Best: Just Us, which is a relaxing day of electronic dance music on the patio and in the lounge. Enjoy the $2 bloody mary bar, or sip $1 mimosas, but, either way, get down with the get down and party all weekend.
