If you've listened to any rap in the last few years, even in passing, you've probably heard this strain name-checked. A cross of Purple Urkle and Big Bud, it's a favorite for people easily impressed by shiny, flashy and unique strains that don't actually pack that much of a punch. Yes, the buds are so purple they border on being black at times. And, yes, the smell is so unmistakably grapey that you'll think someone dumped a packet of Kool-Aid in the jar. But the mellow, light buzz is almost never long-lasting, and the valium-like effects too often leave us wishing we'd packed up a different strain that didn't put us to bed like a baby with a warm glass of milk. If you want to experience a true purple that packs a punch, seek out GDP's parent strain, Purple Urkle, instead.
