Update, 9/25/13: Todd Park Mohr of Big Head Todd has been added to the lineup for this Friday's flood relief benefit at Swallow Hill. Complete information listed below.

Although the heavy rains that soaked the Front Range have stopped and the floodwaters have begun to recede, as with any natural disaster, there are now a ton of folks who are now in need of help, folks in our community whose lives were not only completely upended, but many of whom had their homes with all of their belongings either damaged or destroyed. Thankfully, we live in the kind of place where nobody needs to be asked twice to help.

With that in mind, a growing list of local acts have stepped up to do whatever they can to help, with some, like Big Gigantic, donating a portion of the proceeds from their upcoming shows to flood relief efforts. Elsewhere, entire bills are specifically geared toward raising funds. Below is a list of upcoming benefit shows in our area thus far; if you have an event you'd like to see included, please send us a note with all of the pertinent information.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24

Colorado Bands Together Chautauqua Auditorium, Boulder, 7 p.m., $30 The Colorado Chautauqua Association Benefit Concert for Boulder County Flood Victims features Todd Park Mohr of Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Sean Kelly of the Samples, Highway 50, Rob Drabkin, and members of Leftover Salmon and the Jeff Brinkman Band. Proceeds will benefit the Foothills United Way Flood Relief Fund and Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27

Swallow Hill Flood Relief Concert Swallow Hill Music Hall, 8 p.m. $20-$100 This concert features Todd Park Mohr, Zach Heckendorf, Patrick Dethlefs, Martin Gilmore of Long Road Home, Mollie O'Brien, Rich Moore and Harry Tuft, among others. Proceeds from this show will benefit Foothills Flood Relief.

Adventure Records Cuvée 8 Flood Relief Benefit Lazy Dog, Boulder, 8 p.m., Free, 21+ The event, which features performances by Monocle Stache, ...And the Black Feathers, Hellburner Cult, Ryan Dart & Grandpa's Gun, is free, but donations are being collected on behalf of Donate Boulder, a community-organized flood relief organization.

A Bridge Over Troubled Water Stoney's Bar and Grill, 7 p.m. Presented by Phibstock and featuring Springdale Quartet, James and the Devil, Rastasaurus and Whiskey Tango, this show benefits Donate Boulder Community Organized Flood Relief, with 100 percent of the proceeds being donated.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28

Wake of the Flood Benefit Fox Theatre, Boulder, 8 p.m., $15-$20, all ages Proceeds from this show, which features members of Deadphish Orchestra, Hot Soup, Mountain Standard Time, the Zimmermans and Jet Edison, will go directly to benefit Boulder County rescue and recovery efforts.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29

Flood Relief Benefit Barlow's Premium Cigars & Pipes, Atlas Valley Shopping Center, Lafayette, 2-8 p.m. This is another free event in which donations will be accepted on behalf of Food Banks of Boulder, Weld and Larimer counties and their associated humane societies. Hosted by Michael Floorwax of 103.5 the Fox, the event will feature bands, food and fun for the kids, as well as a clothing donation center.

Blame It on the Rain hi-dive, 8 p.m., $5 This benefit show is slated to feature performances by Esme Patterson, Wheelchair Sports Camp, the Charm, DJ SL8R (Sarah Slater) and Backbeat's own Josiah Hesse on the turntables, plus comedy from Jordan Doll, Sam Tallent, Timmi Lasley and poetry from Ken Arkind. No word yet on where proceeds will be directed, but donations will purportedly be matched by Fat Jack's Supersubs.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30

Flood Relief Benefit For Lyons Oriental Theater, 7:3O p.m., $7-$10 This benefit, presented by Girl Wreck Presents, features Dead Orchids, Saturn Cowboys, Letters From Space, Imaginary Points, the Cutthroat Drifters and Gata Negra. Proceeds from this show are going directly into the hands of those in Lyons who were affected.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6

Bridges Over Boulder County Dickens Opera House, Longmont, 12 p.m., $20 Dubbed Bridges Over Boulder County, this concert will feature performances by a slew of local musicians, including Potcheen, Chris Daniels & the Kings, the Hazel Miller Band, Wendy Woo, Something Underground, Jeff Brinkman, the Delta Sonics, Girls on Top, the Prarie Scholars, the Desciples, Bobby Doran and more. Beneficiaries TBA.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17

Neighbors Helping Neighbors Budweiser Events Center, Loveland, 7 p.m., $20-$30 The headliners for this concert haven't been announced yet, but all of the proceeds from this event will go directly toward aiding flood victims via organizers Colorado Flood Foundation.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20

Third Annual Denver Acoustic Christmas Ogden Theatre, 7:30 p.m., $75-$175 Proceeds from OneRepublic's annual holiday concert will benefit flood victims via the group's charity organization.
