The penultimate weekend of 2018 is upon us, and we heartily recommend soaking up every remaining giggle, wiggle and ogle before it's time to make resolutions. The days ahead may be the shortest of the calendar year, but they're especially lively; this list could double in length and still only scratch the surface of the entertainment offerings that await. Don't worry about dipping too deeply into your merrymaking budget, either; admission to any of these costs less than ten American dollars. Yes, a crisp Hamilton is all you need to have a good time in the Mile High; keep reading for the ten best inexpensive events this weekend.

Black Sheep Friday: XXX-Mas Craft Fair
Friday, December 21, 6 p.m.
MCA Denver
$5

Conventional yuletide wisdom may contend that naughty girls and boys don't get Christmas presents, but for the past few years, MCA Denver's Black Sheep Friday series has flouted Santa's checklist morality with the XXX-Mas Craft Fair. Unlock the creative potential of your dirty, dirty mind with a collage of vintage erotica, phallic ornaments and any number of smutty stocking stuffers when the museum's rooftop bar transforms into a merry workshop for bawdy baubles. With supplies and guidance provided by the Ladies Fancyworks Society and Fancy Tiger Crafts, you should end the evening with plenty of charmingly handmade gifts for your favorite freaks. Even if your crafting efforts fail, a cadre of local vendors will be on hand with ceramics, jewelry and artisanal chocolate — which are certainly better than a lump of coal. Admission is free for members and $5 for everyone else; find out more on the MCA Denver events calendar.

Guzzle eggnog with Boedecker Theater's "jolly old narrator" at a tightly edited cavalcade of childhood nostalgia. Wet Specimens
